Unbelievable Waste and hundreds of unnecessary political patronage jobs for STACK and his cronies are forcing higher taxes and rents in every town. It has to stop NOW.

 

Menendez is going to prison and Stack is taking over.

 

Corrupt Ex Senator Bob Menendez and Stack have always been close. Stack was the “muscle” behind Menendez, who was Hudson County’s Political Boss for decades before being convicted of taking bribes last year. Union City is one of the most corrupt places anywhere in the country with Menendez, Stack and four former mayors who went to prison for corruption.  

Dozens of UC employees have filed lawsuits charging sexual harassment, assault, abuse, retaliation and discrimination costing taxpayers over $20 million in legal fees and settlements. Anyone who steps out of line is threatened or fired. He has used the police to arrest and intimidate journalists and even a federal police officer – who won a huge lawsuit.

 

Public records show that UC Commissioners have voted unanimously over 50,000 times in a row to approve contracts, resolutions and ordinances ordered by Stack. Not one single NO vote in 15 years! These four UC Commissioners and their family members have 28 government payroll jobs that cost taxpayers well over $2 million! And State taxpayers foot the bill.

Stack also controls every vote of the UC Board of Education, Planning Board and Zoning Board. 

As a State Senator Stack gets huge amounts of money for Union City and practically nothing for other towns in his district. Union City Schools received an astonishing $226 million last year, while North Bergen got just $62 million. Jersey City got just $133 million even though it has four times as many people. The State spent over one billion tax dollars just to build one Union City High School! 

 

Union City schools are ridiculously overstaffed with hundreds of unnecessary patronage jobs. They have three times as many janitors, clerks and security guards as called for in state regulations. Many make up to $100,000 plus benefits. Most are political workers who give money to Stack’s campaigns. None of these people teach – all non instructional jobs that cost millions. 

 

Stack gets $42 million for Union City from one state “Transitional Aid” program. The other six towns in his district get a total of… ZERO. Union City is riddled with patronage abuses, including millions of dollars in lucrative No Bid Contracts for Stack’s friends who in turn contribute millions to his political campaigns. 

Public records show that Union City had 3,655 employees last year. Stack’s political campaign fund Union City First has received an incredible 3,525 reportable contributions from school and city employees! So the $100,000 janitors without much work to do campaign and funnel money back to Stack’s machine – all financed by NJ taxpayers!

Stack controls thousands of mostly low income, limited English voters by giving away food, clothing, Housing Authority low rent apartments and patronage jobs. He deliberately blocks new housing development to keep out younger middle class residents who could challenge him. If Stack doesn't get what he wants from Trenton, he supports Republicans for Governor and other state offices. In a close race the thousands of votes he controls can have a huge influence.

 

Stack endorsed Republican Chris Christie twice and called him “the greatest governor in state history.” He was Christie’s Attack Dog, brutally smearing Democratic Senator Barbara Buono who famously called Stack “a misogynistic thug” Now Stack is threatening to back Republicans again if Trenton Democrats don't give him what he wants.

Stack uses the same Washington consultant as Donald Trump and pays the Republican head of the Port Authority hundreds of thousands in legal fees. Although he has little formal education and acts like a thug, Stack is the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee that literally oversees the appointment of every state judge and prosecutor in New Jersey! It’s so incredible it’s like the Sopranos in real life.

Stack, his girlfriend Mercedes ___ and his sister collect well over $500,000 in salaries and benefits from taxpayers. Stack and his girlfriend bought a home worth well over a million dollars at 310 24th Street in Union City. According to Zillow, the former homeowner paid $23,933 in taxes in 2023. But now Stack pays zero property taxes! The Union City Board of Commissioners gave him a tax abatement stating the home is in a “deteriorating neighborhood.” Another lie. It’s in one of the nicest, most expensive areas of Union City.

 

STACK IS THE ONLY POLITICIAN IN NJ HISTORY TO GIVE HIMSELF A TAX ABATEMENT!

His complete control of UC government allows him to stuff more than $100,000 in his pocket on this single Abatement Deal! No other politician would dare try a stunt like this. But Stack gets away with this LEGAL POLITICAL CORRUPTION. He is absolutely shameless.

He already controls Bayonne and most of North Hudson and is running candidates in every town. He is the Number One supporter of Disgraced Ex Governor Jim McGreevey and his campaign for Jersey City Mayor. When McGreevey loses that race later this year Stack’s empire and the Hudson County Democratic Machine he controls will all start to crumble as new Reform Democrats are elected.

His rage, intimidation and fear tactics are legendary. He has no loyalty to the Democratic Party  and acts like Donald Trump with his incredible bossism. His Board of Education once paid a cop-killer named Lilo Brancato to do an anti drug program in city schools. He personally picked Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis to run for Sheriff after he sexually harassed a city employee by SEXTING lewd and naked photos of himself while on city business. She just won a $450,000 settlement and two more women who were mistreated are suing him right now!
